Volleyball Recap: Lathrop Comes Up Short

Lathrop and Colony squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lathrop had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Malemutes have struggled against the Knights recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

While Lathrop was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-22, 25-13.

Lathrop's loss dropped their record down to 21-26-10. As for Colony, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-18-2 record this season.

Lathrop will face off against Juneau-Douglas at 11:45 a.m. on Friday. Colony has already played their next matchup (against Dimond), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
