Soccer Game Preview: Desert Edge vs. Sunrise Mountain

The Desert Edge Scorpions will face off against the Sunrise Mountain Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Desert Edge comes in on eight and Sunrise Mountain on five.

Desert Edge's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Verrado, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that the Scorpions have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tatum Iler, who's now up to ten this season.

Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain made easy work of Bradshaw Mountain on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Mustangs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Desert Edge is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-1-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 50 goals over those ten matches. As for Sunrise Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
