Volleyball Recap: Vanden Comes Up Short

Vanden lost to Davis Sr. back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Vikings fell 3-1 to the Blue Devils. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 20-25, 25-19.

Rigdhen Lama paced Vanden's offense, picking up ten kills. Lama got some help from Tony Chaihanchanchai and his 15 assists. Jaden Fiel and Derek Bolivar kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Vanden's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Davis Sr., with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Vanden will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vacaville at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Davis Sr., they will take on Granite Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
