After flying high against Cameron on Friday, Monroe Central came back down to earth. The Monroe Central Seminoles fell just short of the Fairbanks Panthers by a score of 56-54 on Saturday. The Seminoles' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Monroe Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Fairbanks, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-1.
