It was a good run, but Grain Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Oak Park Northmen. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Northmen apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 24-26, 25-22.

Maddox Dresslaer paced Grain Valley's offense, picking up 19 kills. Dresslaer got some help from Tyler Hoyt and his 23 assists.

Grain Valley's loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1. As for Oak Park, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-5.

Grain Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Belton on the 24th. As for Oak Park, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Park Hill South on the 24th.
