It was a good run, but Cannon County unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loretto Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Mustangs are ranked 28th).

Cannon County's defeat dropped their record down to 23-9. As for Loretto, the win keeps them at an undefeated 31-0.

As of now, neither Cannon County nor Loretto have any future games scheduled.
