Basketball Recap: Life Prep Triumphs

If The New School wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Life Prep, they should've done a better job of containing Quinton Rolle Jr. The Life Prep Fire snuck past The New School Cougars with a 45-41 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Rolle Jr, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. He has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last seven times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Laterro Young, who posted seven points in addition to ten boards and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

Life Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for The New School, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Life Prep will be taking part in a tournament against Carl Junction at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for The New School, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Alpena at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
