 On Saturday, Frederick Douglass faced Lexington Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Frederick Douglass Broncos came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lexington Catholic Knights  and snuck past  6-4. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Frederick Douglass.
  Forde Cruse tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits over 4.1 innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Jeremiah Lowe, who  went 2-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.  Leighton Harris was another key contributor,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run and two  RBI.
