Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Lincoln

Lincoln proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 12) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the West Wolfpack 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Trojans have posted since April 8, 2024.

Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Ayala, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win was the fourth in a row for Lincoln, bringing their record up to 9-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for West, they dropped their record down to 4-12-1 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Lincoln will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wolfpack: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
