Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Nueces Canyon). They really took it to the Comstock Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up an 85-21 victory. Nueces Canyon has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 23 points or more this season.

Nueces Canyon's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Schreiner Meredith, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Meredith is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Idrianna DeLeon, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Nueces Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.6 points per game. As for Comstock, they are on a 25-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
