Softball Recap: Kennedy Has No Trouble Against Brooks

Kennedy barely beat Brooks the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Crusaders put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Kennedy got a great performance from Ilanni Reyes as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Kaylie Gallas was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emma Jimenez, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Kennedy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Kennedy's record is now 16-8-1. As for Brooks, they moved to 11-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Kennedy nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
