Basketball Recap: Springlake-Earth Comes Up Short

Springlake-Earth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 69-25 loss at the hands of the Happy Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1225th, while the Cowboys are ranked 342nd).

Springlake-Earth's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Happy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Springlake-Earth will take on Silverton in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springlake-Earth is facing Silverton at the right time seeing as Silverton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Happy and Lazbuddie will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
