Soccer Game Preview: North Surry vs. Surry Central

The North Surry Greyhounds will face off against the Surry Central Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

North Surry managed to keep up with Wilkes Central until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Greyhounds came up short against the Eagles, falling 4-0. The loss continues a trend for North Surry in their meetings with Wilkes Central: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Surry Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They never let the Blackhawks get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Surry Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for North Surry, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-4.

North Surry took their win against Surry Central in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 4-1 score. Do the Greyhounds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
