Softball Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington Union on Tuesday, Exeter came back down to earth. The Monarchs took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sierra Pacific Golden Bears on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-3 on April 1st.

Exeter saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Sparrow, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.

Exeter's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Sierra Pacific, they moved to 12-10 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Exeter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-1 defeat against Immanuel on the 29th. As for Sierra Pacific, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-4 victory against Central Valley Christian on the 29th.
