Soccer Recap: Benedictine Comes Up Short

Benedictine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 6-0 to the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. While losing is never fun, Benedictine can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin are ranked 219th).

Benedictine's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benedictine will square off against Chagrin Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chagrin Falls' defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Benedictine's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they are taking a road trip to square off against Gilmour Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
