Softball Recap: Poly Bears vs. Chino Hills Huskies
Poly lost to Chino Hills back in March of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bears lost 14-6 to the Huskies. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Marley Audoma and Honesty Romero stepped up to the plate in a big way. Audoma went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Romero went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Audoma has launched this season. Violet Espin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
Poly's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Chino Hills, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Coming up, Poly is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Yucaipa at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Bears' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Chino Hills, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-0 victory against Los Altos on the 28th.
