Basketball Recap: Deerfield Takes a Loss

Deerfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 44-33 to the Crystal Lake Central Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 468th, while the Tigers are ranked 200th).

Deerfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Crystal Lake Central, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.

Deerfield is taking a road trip to face off against Lake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Crystal Lake Central has already played their next game (against McHenry), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
