Baseball Recap: Thayer Snaps Four-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thayer). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Eminence Redwings on Tuesday. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Redwings, too.

Carter Nicholson made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Nicholson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Mason Thornton was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Cooper Clark, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Thayer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
