Volleyball Recap: Nashwauk-Keewatin Takes a Loss

Nashwauk-Keewatin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the North Woods grizzlies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

North Woods found their leader in freshman Tessa Burnett, who had nine digs and four aces.

Nashwauk-Keewatin's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for North Woods, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-2-1.

Nashwauk-Keewatin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Ely on the 9th. As for North Woods, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Fond du Lac Ojibwe O on the 13th.
