Softball Recap: North Pole Patriots vs. Palmer Moose
North Pole won against Hutchison two weeks ago with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The North Pole Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Palmer Moose and snuck past 6-4. The win was nothing new for North Pole as they're now sitting on three straight.
Baylee Borgen was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
North Pole has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Palmer, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Pole will take on Homer at 4:40 p.m. on Saturday. As for Palmer, they will play host again on Saturday to welcome Juneau-Douglas, where first pitch is scheduled at 11:20 a.m.
