 Chestnut Ridge lost against Central back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Chestnut Ridge Lions took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Central Dragons. Chestnut Ridge has struggled against Central recently, as their  game on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
 Chestnut Ridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Justin Whysong, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Central's side,  Wyatt Dilling spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Hunter Smith, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Jay Hoenstine, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Chestnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Central, their victory was  their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chestnut Ridge will play host again  on Friday to welcome Bishop Guilfoyle, where first pitch is scheduled  at 4:30  p.m. As for Central, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Hollidaysburg at 4:30  p.m.
