Basketball Recap: Roncalli Takes a Loss

Roncalli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Brillion Lions, falling 60-39. While losing is never fun, the Jets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Lions are ranked 105th).

Brillion got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Camden Hale out in front who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and five rebounds. Hale is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Amaya Brooks was another key player, going 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Brillion, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Roncalli has already played their next game, a 51-38 victory against New Holstein on the 20th. As for Brillion, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-50 win against Valders on the 20th.
