Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fayette County). They walked away with a 24-13 win over the McIntosh Chiefs on Tuesday. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 39-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Fayette County and bumps their season record up to 5-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-8 Sandy Creek and 5-6 McIntosh. As for McIntosh, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Fayette County will be playing at home against Luella at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tigers 8.5, the Lions 4.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
