Basketball Recap: MAST Charter II Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jadan Thomas and Shane Twyman

On Thursday, the MAST Charter II Voyagers didn't have quite enough to beat the Thomas A. Edison Owls and fell 49-46.

MAST Charter II's loss came despite strong showings from Shane Twyman and Jadan Thomas. Twyman posted 20 points, while Thomas put up 15 points.

Thomas A. Edison was led to victory by Jonathan Vazquez and Kevin Vasquez-Hernandez. Vazquez went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points and five boards, while Vasquez-Hernandez went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Vasquez-Hernandez a new career-high. Anthony Rodriguez was another key player, putting up four points.

MAST Charter II's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Thomas A. Edison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.

MAST Charter II wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-52 defeat against MAST Community Charter on the 17th. Thomas A. Edison has also already played their next matchup, a 69-51 loss against Louis E. Dieruff on the 17th.
