Volleyball Game Preview: Del Oro Golden Eagles vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies

The Del Oro Golden Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Granite Bay Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Granite Bay took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Del Oro, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Del Oro got the win against Nevada Union by a conclusive 3-0.

While Del Oro won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-20.

Del Oro's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caden Pancoast led the charge by getting 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Pancoast has posted over his last four games. The team also got some help courtesy of James Learn, who had 19 assists and two aces.

Meanwhile, Granite Bay came up short against Whitney on Monday and fell 3-1.

Granite Bay was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Whitney work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 26-24.

Granite Bay's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Del Oro, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.
