Baseball Game Preview: Valley Springs Tigers vs. Cave City Cavemen

Valley Springs is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Monday. They will take on the Cave City Cavemen at 4:00 p.m.

Valley Springs can't be to happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home on Saturday. They lost 15-9 to Gentry.

Logan Avery made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bernard, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Cave City made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rose Bud on Friday. Cave City walked away with a 10-7 win over Rose Bud.
