Basketball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short

Chamberlain lost against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Chamberlain Cubs took a hard 47-28 fall against the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Titans are ranked 27th).

Chamberlain has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Chamberlain wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-28 defeat against Mt. Vernon/Plankinton on the 7th. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-36 win against Hanson on the 6th.
