Preview: Rosewood Eagles vs. East Bladen Eagles
Two dominant backs in David Lamm and Masion Brooks are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Rosewood Eagles will be playing at home against the East Bladen Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Rosewood rose to the challenge on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bear Grass Charter 48-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-3.
Giovanni Pineda was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamm, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Northside - Pinetown typically have all the answers at home, but on Friday East Bladen proved too difficult a challenge. East Bladen came out on top against Northside - Pinetown by a score of 25-18. The victory made it back-to-back wins for East Bladen.
Rosewood has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for East Bladen, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 7-5.
