McKinney North waltzed into their match on Friday with 19 straight wins... but they left with 20. They put the hurt on the Melissa Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

McKinney North's got stronger as the match went on, holding Melissa to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Kaitlyn Jefferson paced McKinney North's offense, picking up 13 kills. Jefferson got some help from Malia McNeal and her 19 assists. Finally, Chloe Lewis kept McKinney North's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

McKinney North's victory bumped their record up to 33-3. As for Melissa, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 21-17.
