Baseball Recap: Eastside Comes Up Short

Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-0 to the Palatka Panthers. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Palatka, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Coming up, Eastside will head out on the road to square off against Bronson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bronson has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.46 runs per game on average), something Eastside will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Palatka, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 win against P.K. Yonge on the 26th.
