Basketball Recap: Bell Takes a Loss

The Bell Bulldogs came up short against the Franklin County Seahawks on Saturday, falling 59-38. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 703rd, while the Seahawks are ranked 241st).

Bell dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Franklin County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Bell will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hamilton County at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Franklin County and Cottondale will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Cottondale will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Franklin County surely won't give up without a fight.
