Softball Recap: Haddam-Killingworth Cougars vs. Valley Regional Warriors
Haddam-Killingworth gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Valley Regional Warriors as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Emma Giaccone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks.

On the hitting side, Grace LaConte was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.
