Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Weronika Kurnat and Natalia Grela Lead Reavis to Victory

Reavis won the last time they faced Crete-Monee and things went their way on Thursday too. The Rams had just enough and edged out the Warriors 2-1.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (66-61) Reavis actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 11-25, 25-22, 25-19.

Reavis was led to victory by Natalia Grela and Weronika Kurnat. Grela had six digs and three aces, while Kurnat had 13 kills, 12 digs, and three aces. Kurnat is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good server: Reavis was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Reavis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Crete-Monee, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Looking ahead, Reavis will be taking part in a tournament against Rolling Meadows at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crete-Monee, they will square off against Argo at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
