Soccer Game Preview: Guthrie vs. El Reno

Guthrie is 0-9 against El Reno since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bluejays will face off against the Indians at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

As a matter of fact, Guthrie put up the most goals they have all season on Saturday. They put the hurt on New Hope with a sharp 4-1 victory.

Meanwhile, El Reno kept a clean sheet against Classen SAS on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Comets. The result was nothing new for El Reno, who have now won three contests by four goals or more so far this season.

El Reno's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Guthrie, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Guthrie suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to El Reno in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Bluejays avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
