Softball Recap: Pine Island Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hayfield

There's no place like home for Pine Island, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Hayfield Vikings on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pine Island got a great performance from Maddy Skibsted as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.

On the hitting side, Mallory Mohlke was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kiley Passow, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Pine Island's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Hayfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
