Soccer Game Preview: Buffalo Grove vs. Prospect

The Buffalo Grove Bison will challenge the Prospect Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo Grove's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Buffalo Grove's offense. They fell just short of Barrington by a score of 1-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, Buffalo Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Barrington are ranked 55th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Prospect, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Wheeling 2-1 on Tuesday.

Joshua Pomian and Ryan Ivanov scored both of Prospect's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Buffalo Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-3. As for Prospect, their win bumped their record up to 7-2-4.
