Southmoore extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping their season record up to 15-16 in the process. They never let the Putnam City Pirates get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in April.

As for Putnam City, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 21 of their last 22 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-33 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

For Putnam City's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jared Potter, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Potter is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southmoore will host Duncan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Putnam City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Frederick at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
