Baseball Recap: St. Clair County Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last seven times St. Clair County and Lincoln have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Fighting Saints lost 8-1 to the Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 on Tuesday.

St. Clair County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Lincoln, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-9.

Coming up, St. Clair County will head out on the road to face off against Ashville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Comer at 4:30 p.m.
