After a string of four wins, King's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to the Kingswood Oxford Wyverns 81-76.

King's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonovan Bracey, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 19 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Trimboli, who went 7 for 14 on his way to 17 points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, King smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

King didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 65-52 win against Hyde on the 22nd. As for Kingswood Oxford, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Taft School at 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2025.
