Baseball Recap: GMG Takes a Loss

GMG lost against Riceville back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolverines took an 11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats.

GMG's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Riceville, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

GMG will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Riceville, they have already played their next game, a 15-5 win against Edgewood-Colesburg on the 7th.
