Recap: Lower Brule Sioux vs. Marty Indian Braves
The Lower Brule Sioux had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 57 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against Marty Indian by a score of 66-54. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lower Brule also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Lower Brule got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lane Gray out in front who scored 18 points along with two steals. Gray is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Peyton Palmier was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds.
Lower Brule is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season. As for Marty Indian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Lower Brule and Crazy Horse will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
