Football Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Othello Huskies

East Valley hasn't had much luck against Othello recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Othello will take on a team with plenty of momentum: East Valley extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Red Devils took their game with ease, bagging a 49-14 win over Ephrata. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Red Devils considering their 13-point performance the matchup before.

East Valley had a senior duo take command as Braden Albrecht rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry and Jaxon Berg threw for 281 yards and four TDs while completing 76.2% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Berg. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Stevens, who picked up 117 receiving yards and one score.

East Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, Othello gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They breezed past Selah to the tune of 40-13. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

East Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Othello, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-0.
