Baseball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Moberly Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 two weeks ago.

Marshall saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Griffit, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Moberly, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-7.

Looking ahead, Marshall will face off against Boonville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Moberly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
