Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kaitlyn Glaze and Tariya Respicio Lead Brewbaker Tech to Victory

Brewbaker Tech hadn't done well against Prattville Christian Academy recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Rams took down the Panthers 48-34. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 82-23 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

Leading Brewbaker Tech to victory were Tariya Respicio and Kaitlyn Glaze. Respicio shot 57% from the field to rack up 18 points in addition to four steals and three blocks, while Glaze posted 12 points along with six assists and six steals. Those 18 points gave Respicio a new career-high. Amani Glast was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Brewbaker Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 32 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Brewbaker Tech's record now sits at 2-0. As for Prattville Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Brewbaker Tech will take on Carver Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prattville Christian Academy, they will square off against Wetumpka at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
