Softball Recap: Cleveland Has No Trouble Against Susan Moore

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cleveland had no problem doing just that on Monday. Everything went their way against the Susan Moore Bulldogs as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the game before.

The team relied heavily on Patelyn Battles, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Hayes, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Cleveland's win bumped their record up to 15-23. As for Susan Moore, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Cleveland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 6-3 defeat against West End on the 28th. Susan Moore does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
