Baseball Recap: Gleason Find Success

The home team had come away the winner the last six times Gleason and West Carroll had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bulldogs came out on top against the War Eagles by a score of 10-6 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-6 back in March.

Brody Sanders was incredible, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Drake Lehmkuhl also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Gleason's record is now 6-12-1. As for West Carroll, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-19-1.

Coming up, Gleason will take on McKenzie at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for the Bulldogs: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Rebels have snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. As for West Carroll, they will face off against Middleton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The War Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
