Basketball Game Preview: Riverview Sharks vs. Tampa Bay Tech Titans

The Riverview Sharks will be taking part in a tournament against the Tampa Bay Tech Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Riverview came up short against Chamberlain and fell 35-27. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 626th, while the Storm are ranked 308th).

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay Tech came up short against Plant on Monday, falling 69-45. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Tampa Bay Tech's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-15. As for Riverview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Riverview barely slipped by Tampa Bay Tech in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 58-57. Will Riverview repeat their success, or does Tampa Bay Tech have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
