Volleyball Recap: Fort Lauderdale Comes Up Short

If Fort Lauderdale was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Plantation last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Flying L's fell 2-0 to the Suncoast Chargers on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13.

Sebastian Perdomo paced Fort Lauderdale's offense, picking up six kills. Perdomo got some help from Sean Pugh and his ten assists. Finally, Miron Fechin and Ambassador Kendrick kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Fort Lauderdale's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Suncoast, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.

Fort Lauderdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Dwyer on the 22nd. As for Suncoast, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Forest Hill on the 29th.
