Baseball Recap: Hurricane Takes a Loss

Hurricane lost against Cedar last Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hurricane fell just short of Cedar by a score of 4-3. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hurricane saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Fitzgerald, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That's the most hits Fitzgerald has posted since back in March of 2024.

Hurricane's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cedar, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hurricane will venture away from home to face off against Crimson Cliffs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Cedar, they will head out to take on Pine View at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cedar's pitchers better be ready for this one: Pine View has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
