Softball Recap: Bay Wins Going Away Against Lorain

Bay's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 31-18 margin over the Lorain Titans. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Titans, too.

The team relied heavily on Julia Mavis, who scored five runs and stole three bases while going 5-for-6. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Cam Williams was another key player, going 2-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

The win got Bay back to even at 1-1. As for Lorain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Coming up, Bay will head out on the road to challenge Lakewood at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lorain, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Rocky River at 5:00 p.m. Rocky River will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Lorain surely won't give up without a fight.
